It's November. Already?

Well here we are. It's November 2010 and I feel like it's still April or May although it's getting noticeably colder outside and there are already Christmas decorations up in stores even though Thanksgiving has not passed yet. Have I ever mentioned that this is my favorite time of the year? Only because I get to wear my favorite coat. Well it's not a coat to others but it's a coat to me because it keeps me warm... my infamous leather bomber jacket.
I've made it to chapter four in my book which is incredibly exciting because I'm actually almost done with chapter four and I'm about to move on to chapter five. Want to read it? Buy it when it's published. Baha.
That's all I have to say for now. Until next time.

Ugh

So I haven't been able to post lately. Actually that's a lie. I've had my chances I just didn't take them. Sorry. Anyway. Not much has been going on. Haven't gotten to work on my book in a while. School has been consuming whatever free time I have left. So I'll just post another exert from what I have. Give me feedback.

There was absolutely nothing else in the semi with him but he could still feel eyes on him. More gunfire made him duck his head; he was stretched out across the torn seats of his semi, his feet hanging over the edge of the driver’s seat and his face near the passenger door. His hands were covering his head; the gun still gripped tight, the knife somewhere on the floorboard. He didn’t know why he was over reacting; the gunfire was coming from in front of him, from the burning institution. The gunfire stopped and everything was quiet. There were no people talking, no sounds of honking horns, no birds chirping. As Tick slowly raised his head to look out of his windshield, he snapped his fingers to break the silence. He had to make sure he wasn’t deaf.

“What…”

Tick heard a strange scraping sound, which sounded like metal being dragged across metal. His heart started to beat faster but his breathing slowed down as the adrenaline pumped through his veins. He felt like his eyes were lying to him as they focused on the Kia Rio in front of him. The back passenger door on the right side of the car had been ripped open, literally ripped open. The door lay on the ground quite a ways away from the car as if something had thrown it. Blood was splattered on the back window of the car and upon closer inspection from the safety of his semi; he saw claw marks on the hood of the car. Four sets, each with three long grooves.

He could see the figure of the boy inside the car, well what was left of the boy. From where Tick was sitting it looked like something had basically swallowed the entire right half of the kid. What Tick had had for breakfast threatened to come back up as he stared at the blood. The same sound of metal on metal came from the roof of his semi and his first reaction was to look up, like he could actually see through the roof. The weight of whatever was up there made the roof bend from where it was stepping.

“My God.” Tick whispered, the gun firmly gripped in his hand, his knuckles turning white. He didn’t know if anyone could see what was going on. He couldn’t see any other signs of life.

I just don't understand.

Well. Here's another thing about me. I ask A LOT of questions. I like to know why things happen. Et cetera. Anyway.
What I want to know tonight is... why do we LAUGH? I mean seriously think about. Everything we do has a purpose. There's a reason for why our eyes water, there's a reason for why we sneeze, why we cough, and on and on. But why do we laugh? What is the specific purpose of laughing? What do we gain from it?

I just want to know. I'm aware this makes me seem weird but I don't care. Take it or leave it.

Say Cheese!

Bohemian Slide

Do you know who I am?

An exert from my current project

[Keep in mind this is the FIRST draft of the story. So pardon the mistakes or parts that really don't make much sense.]

“Hey Abby. Guess what.” She heard her roommate say after a small moment of silence, if you could really consider it silence with the constant humming of the AC system.

“Yes, Chris? What is it.” Abby was always nice to her roommate because she was actually quite fun to be around. If Abby had met Christine, Chris, under better circumstances, their friendship could have more potential than being forced to live together in a small square room.

“There’s a squirrel outside.”  Chris smiled a big smile, a bright smile. She always smiled like this, like a child who had just opened a big Christmas present. Abby liked it because it showed that Chris was happy. Abby always enjoyed being around happy people. Turning towards the window, Abby got onto her knees causing the bed to creak even louder and leaned so she could look out the window. Her hands were placed on the bars over the window to keep her from falling forward. The sun shone through the glass and showed all of the dirt that had been missed whenever the window had been cleaned last, if it had ever been cleaned at all.

The squirrel was cute for a rodent with dark brown fur and an extremely bushy tail. Its tail was like a tidal wave behind it as it ran from spot to spot trying to find food. But there was something about the scene outside of their window that had Abby feeling a little uneasy. She had never been able to look at animals the same anymore after what had happened. The eyes of the squirrel reminded her of the eyes on the dog creature that had attacked her once upon a time. Watching the squirrel move sent chills up her spine. But there was something else about the view from their window but she couldn’t place what it was yet.

“Isn’t it cute.” Chris asked as she put her hands over her mouth trying to hold back her signature childish giggle. Abby had only really looked at the small animal for a few seconds before her attention was drawn to an old man standing on the sidewalk. He was facing the asylum and was staring at the grass that separated the concrete of the sidewalk from the brick of the building. The old man didn’t look like he was alive. He looked like he was a statue just standing there. Not breathing, no heart beat, dead.

Abby was so intent on watching the man that she hadn’t noticed when Chris had advanced towards her, her hand waving in front of her face. When the man looked up Abby fell backward and landed on her back on the floor. Chris laughed of course but Abby started to shake. It wasn’t the impact with the cold linoleum that had her body shaking; it was the look on the man’s face when he had looked at her, the color of his eyes. The image was now burned in her mind. When the man had looked up at her, his face was pale and wrinkly like she had expected but his eyes were black. They weren’t a dark shade of brown they were black. The whites of his eyes were completely gone. There had been dark rings around his eyes making them look like they had retracted into his skull. His mouth was hanging open, slack, saliva mixed with blood dripping from the corners of his lips.

This I Believe

Well this is something I'm going to do for FUN. Well fun for me maybe not so much for you. Since I have nothing else to do. That's a lie. I have plenty of things I could be doing but I chose not to. If I fail my Finance test I'm blaming you. ANYWAY. A few weeks ago I had to do a paper in my lame English class about what I believe in. We were restricted to one topic. I picked music, of course. But as I stated before I'm "in to" religion. I'm not a JESUS FREAK. I don't go to church. So.... Anyway. This probably won't make much sense but that's who I am.
This I Believe
I believe that the Earth revolves around the sun.
I believe that my heart beats for a purpose.
I believe that everything happens for a reason.
I believe that pretending to be different makes you the same.
I believe that our dreams can become reality.
I believe that love doesn't exist.
I believe that God didn't make me, that my parents did.
I believe that the world needs help.
I believe that history can repeat itself.
I believe that myths and stories hold shards of truth.
I believe that the world will not end in 2012.
I believe that the Bible is just a book.
I believe that I have a greater chance of being eaten by a baby with a spork than getting swine flu.
I believe that there are worlds we haven't discovered.
I believe that music is life.
I believe that drugs are overrated.
I believe that... alright I'm done.
BUT tell me.. what do YOU believe?

yee naaldlooshii

yee naaldlooshii -"with it, he goes on all fours"
 ..don't ask.
ANYWAY. I was just thinking about a debate that I had during my summer government class and I laughed because it ended in a debate over religion. We were supposed to be debating gay marriage and it ended in religion. How surprising is that?! Not very. I was expecting it. Anyway. The point.

I'm not against gay marriage even though I would rather see a man and woman together but I want to make a point for everyone. I've heard every side of this and all I can say is that we are treating them like they're aliens. They are people too and they deserve to have the same rights. This is like going back to the early days with slaves and such. I know some people don't agree with gay marriage and I want you to know something. Either way, it's going to happen so just go with the flow.

People often throw the God card on an issue like this and I'll tell you the same thing that I told Landon. Since he said that gay people are being tested by the devil. I want to point this out and I'm not very religious and I know this and I was kind of disappointed when kids that go to church so much didn't know this. The devil or whatever you want to call him, only tests us at God's permission. Shame on you who didn't know that and claim that you are religious.

Feel free to argue with me. I enjoy fighting religion. It's one of my hobbies. I do it all the time. Peace people.

Just a few

These are a few of the small random things I've written. Plus a random fish. Enjoy, <3

So, I've been told I have a heart of stone.
It cracks every day with the words they say.
I'm left picking up the pieces from the mess you made...four years.
Four years ago I was a girl who wasn't afraid of the dark.
Now I fear not only you but your thoughts
I can truthfully say its all your fault.

<(O.O)>        <-- FAT FISH

I'm the girl raised on empty promises, truthful lies, and nonexistent restrictions.

People passing never speaking, stay the same as I lay bleeding.

Sometimes I wish that life was a video game. When things don't go my way I can restart..or when someone's hurt I could heal them...and when my best friend dies...I could give them a potion and make them live again. Life would be so simple.

Only the beginning

HELLO. This isn't my first blog but the others were not quite "real" blogs so... I guess they weren't really blogs to begin with... but whatever! Anyway. I'm an author and this is where I hope to post some of my poems or exerts from my stories. I'll also post RANDOM things here that really only make sense when you're crazy like me. This is obviously my first post on this site EVER so pardon me if it sounds like complete RUBBISH. I promise the posts to come will be more exciting. UNTIL THEN. Goodbye.
